Healing Hearts Foundation is proud to provide a variety of supports and resources to our community:

  • Online Communities. Empty Arms Support Group, for families who have experienced a loss and Open Arms Support Group, for families pregnant or parenting after a loss. Each group provides a safe space to share stories, connect with other families, and feel supported and validated in their pregnancy and infant loss journey. No matter what stage of grief you are in, or what type of loss you have experienced, someone has been there, and we are here to support you, and each other. Because time does not heal all wounds, whether your loss was recent, or happened decades ago, we open our arms to you. Empty Arms and Open Arms are inclusive, we are not religiously or politically affiliated, and support families of all compositions.

  • Peer to peer support groups held monthly. Due to COVID-19, meetings are being held virtually using Zoom. Meeting dates and times are posted to the Healing Hearts Foundation Facebook page, Empty Arms Support Group, and Open Arms Support Group. All are welcome at our peer to peer support group, regardless of where you are on your journey.

  • Access to professional counselling. Funds raised for Healing Hearts Foundation are used to support families who may not otherwise be able to access professional counselling services. Healing Hearts Foundation is able to cover the cost of a first visit to a recognized counselling professional.

  • Community events. Healing Hearts Foundation is proud to partner with Royal Oak Burial Park and Little Spirits Garden each year to host a vigil in recognition of October 15th, Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

We are always looking for new ways to support families after loss and welcome any and all suggestions.
